The water in a circular pool forms a cylinder and the volume of a cylinder is

pi x r x r x h

But first we need to find the radius given the circumference and circumference is

pi x 2 x r and in our case pi x 2 x r = 80 and so r = 80/(2 x pi) = 12.73 feet. Plug this value in the expression for volume and we get

volume = 3.1415 x 12.73 x 12.73 x (4.5) Note that 54 inches needs to be converted to feet and so
