Maine coon cats can live from 10 to 16 years but some can go to 20 years!Thats amazing but if we are not talking about only Maine coons than the longest living cat was of 34!
He is a Maine Coon from all the cats I have seen. He is a pretty one too.
Cats live in a wide range of times, but the most simple way to explain this (note: it may be different depending on the on the specific breed) the larger the cat the less years it will live. The average tabby "mut" cat will live 9 to 15 years. The Maine Coon (a large breed) lives an average of 7, although i have seen Maine Coons live up to 12, maybe older.
My male Maine coon is 5 months old and 9 lbs.
A Maine Coon can live for 9 - 15 years.9 to 15 years
Maine Coons are very friendly cats, as are Egyptian Maus. (These are purebred cats) Egyptian Maus are much more energetic, seeing as the Maine Coon is a lap cat.
No.
no something is wrong
They are especially social and smart cats. Take the time to teach them to fetch and play other games. Mine loves to shower with me. You never know what he will think up next. Mel is eleven years old and I have loved every minute.
Most dog breeds in the coon hound's size range live ten to twelve years..Generally speaking, the smaller breeds live slightly longer than large breeds.
Cats live on average 8 to 22 years, but by 10 years old they are already "old".
Maine Coons, due to being such a large breed, develop much more slowly than an average-sized cat. A Maine Coon is not considered to be an adult until it has finished growing and developing, which can be between 3 to 5 years old. It should not be allowed to breed before this time. If you are thinking of breeding, it is best to get in contact with cat breed clubs who will be able to offer advice and information, or the breeder you bought your cat from if this is the case.
Answer= the best thing to do in this case is too place the old cats in some sort of cage or restraint and place it in a room, grab the new cat and place it in the same room shutting the door. (bathroom works well) This will allow the cats to smell each other without allowing one to become to frightned adnd withouth them hurting each other. Also you can take 2 peices of cloth and put the cats scent on one each and place the scents in front of the opposite cat. by giving them treats when they ignore each other. I own two cats myself. My oldest is a 5-year-old tabby/domestic shorthair mix and my other is a 2-year-old Maine Coon. I had gotten the Maine Coon when she was a year old and my other cat didn't like her at first because we never socialized her as a kitten. But now it's been about 2 years and they don't try and attack each other. I think the reason unsocialized cats attack a newcomer is because they don't want to share their territory (the house). My older cat took the downstairs and my younger one took the upstairs as territory at first. Now both venture to each other's and are fine with each other.
