You take the ribbon, fold it like an awareness ribbon, and then press the center in. It takes lots of practice, so get some cheap ribbon to start out with. Grossgrain works the best, if you want a fancy pattern, get fabric and glue it to the gorssgrain with fabric glue. Wired ribbon falls apart
