Lavender, is an anciently know and used plant, one of the best general all around essential oils and one of the few that can be used "neat". Spike Lavender, is another essential oil with similar properties as true lavender. As Lavender essential oil is so multipurpose, easy to use, with few contraindications, it is in high demand. On occasion it becomes short in supply and the prices of good essential lavender oils can become very high. Spike Lavender and now Lavandin are less expensive and yet have very similar uses to true lavender.
