The law required every male to register with his local draft board when he became 18 years old. Once it was decided more men were needed, a draft table was used and an series of numbers were chosen based on birthdays.

After being inducted into the US Army, US Navy, US Marine Corps (The US Air Force during WW2 was PART OF THE US ARMY); they were sent to Europe, Pacific, and the CBI (China, Burma, and India Theaters).
