Answer

Well it will definitely make our taxes go WAY up,but the bill will also make sure that everyone has health care/insurance

Answer

We can't say health care reform will "definitely" do anything, yet. The hope is more people will be covered by insurance; insurance benefits will improve; people won't be denied coverage for preexisting conditions; hospital funding should stabilize (fewer unreimbursed services); access to primary care doctors is expected to improve; many individuals and small businesses will be receive subsidies and tax relief to help pay premiums; the risk pool should stabilize as younger, healthier people are required to become insured, and so on. And yes, our taxes will probably increase at some point, although it is by no means clear by how much, and certainly unjustified to say they will "definitely" go "WAY up."

It's important to recognize that many of the visible costs (taxes, for example) of health care reform will be the result of cost shifting. We're already paying about $1,000 a year, each, in hidden costs to cover unreimbursed medical treatment for uninsured patients. Hospital bills also include significant mark-ups for the same reason. Some of those costs may become visible in the form of various kinds of taxes. The Democrats would be inclined to place the burden on higher income workers, corporations, and luxury items and services; whereas the Republicans would be more inclined to place the burden on the general populace (and then blame the Democrats for creating an untenable situation).

Any way you look at it good health care costs money, and the overall expense must be borne somewhat fairly by those receiving it, meaning all of us.

Obamacare is a trainwreck. It's going to cost much more than Obama said it was, and most medical professionals are against it, as are 60% of Americans.

People like Harry Reid and Nancy Pelosi have lied about this law from the beginning, and are placing the blame of the shutdown at the feet of those trying to help the populace.

It's an old liberal trick. Tell a lie long enough, and people may believe it.
