Avoid wasting your precious time running after xyz coaching institutes, almost all don't have updated quality study material neither do they have qualified faculties. The mantra is self study.
Be very cautious in choosing books from the market. Judge the level of questions the book has given for e.g. most of the books of ssc graduate level contain study material and questions which are of metric level.
Review previous papers as much as possible. It is an excellent method to judge the level of questions to be asked in the actual examination.
You can also search online for quality study material. Some sites do provide study material and previous papers. I am a member of one such site www.win4exams.com the best part about this site I found was that it gives you the flexibility to study only the chapters you are weak in. You are not required to buy the full book and the material is really affordable. I found myself weak in data interpretation when I started my preparations. No coaching was ready to guide me only in that particular area instead compelled me to join the full SSC course for which I was not ready and also could not afford. When I came across this site, I liked their idea of pay per chapter only. I purchased Data interpretation and yes my problem was solved.
