I have the same problem, what my doctor said was that if I sleep with my mouth open (which I do) the gland that produces saliva gets dried out and when you don't produce enough saliva for when you eat your gland can start acting up and gets irritated, fix this probably by trying to sleep with your mouth closed but if that doesn't work, suck on a candy in the morning so your gland regains moisture and won't cause the pain
