I just found out my rabbit could be pregnant i dont have any idiles on when she may have them can i just put a nest box in with here?

Yes, By putting a nest box in right away, she will get used to it before the 31 day gestation period is up. You will notice her pulling fur from her chest area to put in the box shortly before giving birth. If it is very cold, you can augment this natural insulation by giving her strips of newspaper, cotton, or other suitable material. Do not use fiber glass insulation however as it might damage her eyes. I recently had a problem in that the doe did not use the litter box and the young fell through the bottom of the cage. I hesitated to move her fur into the box thinking it might cause her to reject the young, but the result was the same as the young died of exposure anyway. I have placed wire mesh of a much tighter weave in the bottom and sides of the cage. It still allows droppings to fall through but will not permit the newborns to do so. Best of luck!

It All Depends if the mating has sucseeded. You may need to take your rabbit to the vet to check this out as you can never know for sure. When i had a rabbit we never found out she was pregnant until the week before as she started to act quite strange so we took her to the vet to find out she was pregnant.

actually i would take out the balls of fur u found if you touched them. she may not like your scent on them.. The rabbit is nesting. Better leave it alone for a while. Just give it food and water and put the hair balls back in the cage for nesting. Your rabbit might actually be pregnant or it could just be a false pregnancy, this happens alot with rabbits. I have found that with my own rabbits they started to pull their hair out when they are fertile in preparation for being pregnant. The rabbits I had did this when there was no other rabbits around, and the vet I go to said that when they start it is a sign that the bunny is becoming mature.
