I was updating cydia on my ipod and it made me reboot my ipod and the recovery mode came so i made it ra1n again hoping to not lose anything but its stuck on waiting for device. what do i do?

You pretty much broke your Jailbreak. Force your device to sleep. (Home button and Lock button until the screen goes black.) hold the home button and immediately connect to computer and restore your device. After that just make it ra1n and your device will be fine. Although you will lose everything because you forced another jailbreak when you already had one installed.
