What is the Arlington and how did it come into existence?

Arlington is the National Military Cemetary, located in Washington DC, near Arlington Mansion, from which it derives its name. The Mansion was originally owned by George Washington's great nephew, who sold it to an Army general named Robert E. Lee. When Lee went to join the confederate army during the civil war, he left it to his wife. Then the government got sneaky. The US Government refused to accept taxes from the property. It then forclosed on the property, due to Mrs. Lee not paying taxes. The US then put the property up for sale. the US was the highest bidder. After the War, Lee's nephew, and his heir, sued the US Government. He won, and the property was awarded to him. Instead of unearthing the graves of the Union soldiers entombed there, he donated the mansion and the surrounding lands to the US governmant, which turned it into Arlington National Cemetary.

Would you own a shed if it has been on your property for 19 years even though the owner has paper work on it and decided to put the shed on your property?

You need to consult with an attorney in your jurisdiction who can review the situation and explain your rights and options under your state laws. This may be a complicated situation. Your neighbor built his shed on your property. If you had insisted that it be removed and he refused then it would become your property. However, if you said nothing and he openly used your land to build a shed, he may have acquired rights in your property. You should discuss the situation with an attorney ASAP.You need to consult with an attorney in your jurisdiction who can review the situation and explain your rights and options under your state laws. Can a separated spouse receive money from a home insurance claim they refuse to pay on?

Refused to pay on? What type of claim is it? Only the legal owner of the property can receive compensation for a property loss. Homeowners Insurance claims are typically expected to be used to repair the property. It's often paid directly to the contractor performing the repairs so the insured property owners may never actually see the check.
