It might not be a bad idea. You could have taken the pregnancy test too early. There are several things that can contribute to a negative pregnancy test even if you are pregnant. Some medications can give you a false negative, the timing of the test can affect the results. If you did not follow directions properly; if you let the test sit for too long the results may read negative after a while. It is important to read the results within the amount of time given on the instructions of that particular pregnancy test you bought. If you did not perform the test properly (example: you drank a lot of fluids before taking the test, which can dilute your urine). Etc To ensure the best results: * Take the test in the morning, if possible, because your hCG (pregnancy hormone) levels are at it's highest * Don't drink a bunch of fluids before taking the test because it will dilute your urine and can affect the results * Take the test no more than 1 day before expected period. Although some test say that you can see results up to 5 days before your missed period, the percentage of accuracy is very low. * urinate for as long as possible on the foam-like strip * Check the results in the window frame of time suggested by the instructions of the pregnancy test.
It may be your birth control if you are taking any they cause irregular periods.
If you are getting other pregnancy symptoms, yes, take another test.
It could be a sign of pregnancy, or another issue. Best to consult with your physician.
I think the best thing to do would go to a doctor and get a blood test, as eptopic pregnancies (out of the womb) can result in negative pregnancy tests and spotting/bleeding. if you are pregnant you would need to have a scan to see if the baby is in the right place. goodluck
Not all home pregnancy tests are 100% accurate. They CAN give false negatives AND false positives. Wait a day or so before taking another test--your period just may be irregular due to health or stress reasons. If you are on birth control, the hormones may be causing irregularity. Whether or not you take contraceptives, consult your general practitioner/gynecologist for a pregnancy test.
Yes you definitely can!
Possibly the pregnancy test is ineffective. Try another one.
do another one
Wait a few days and take another test. It's possible you got a false negative, or you just don't have enough of the pregnancy hormone in your urine to show up positive. The hormone doubles each day, so if you are still experiencing pregnancy symptoms in 5-10 days, take another test. If it's still negative and you are experiencing pregnancy symptoms, seek medical advice.
my advice would be to wait roughly 3 weeks after you have had unprotected sex to try a home pregnancy test. if it is positive you have your answer. if the test reads negative dont worry about it wait another week and take another
If the pregnancy test is negative, you're probably not pregnant. Take another or see your doctor.
Irregular periods are often perfectly normal, but not always. If you have not been using another form of birth control, and you have been sexually active, it is wise to have a pregnancy test. Spotting similar to a period can happen in pregnancy. Did you have regular periods before going on the shot? If so, your period will usually normalize after a while. See a physician to be certain of the cause of your irregular periods.
