It all depends on you height. Say you are quite tall for your age then, yes that is the correct weight. But at that age I put on a lot of weight as i was going through puberty. But if you do think your overweight, at this age you should NOT try to diet. Its probably because of puberty and the growth spurt will come! If you do think you are overweight, just do some exercise and eat healthy. Don't think eating healthy is a diet but a life style change. It is very good to pick up healthy eating habits at a young age.

I am a 17 year old, 5 foot 10 inch male. I am an athlete so I weigh 160 pounds but I have less then 8% body fat. If you are not an athlete anywhere from 140-160 should be an optimal range.
