In order to get your belly button pierced at a piercing shop you must be over the age of eighteen. However the operation is very simple to do yourself , all you need is a sewing needle and a lighter, first sterilize the needle by heating it with the lighter, then you can pierce the place right above your belly button, do it quickly before the needle cools and desterilizes, you may want to cool the area with ice before piercing.

PokemonGirlxxx- You can be any size to have your belly button pierced, I am not skinny nor am I too big but I have mine done. If you are pregnant or taking any medication you may not be able to have it done. If you do get it done, clean it properly and DON'T touch it without washing your hands thoroughly first.

No haven't run into that in over 16 plus years of body piercing, there are some that are too over weight to be done correctly but never "too big" to be pierced.

I personally think that you should take the belly button out, wait for it to heal, and then if you want to you can get it redone. Because if it tears the skin off, you wont be able to get it pierced again.

While I tend to agree with the above, it's bet not to play with it if it is recently pierced...To much handling can create keloids which are ugly and difficult to get rid of...Even if it's healed dont play with it as it could cause the jewelry to migrate if it is pierced too shallow.....Hope this helps...
