Yes, it is tall for a 12 year old.
Boys usually hit their growth spurts around puberty and then again at 17/18 and then once more in their twenties so for a boy at age 12 he is going to be a lot taller.
For a girl on the other hand it is harder to say. Most girls grow earlier so that could be as tall as she gets.
Speaking from personal experience ,as a girl, I was 5'6 when I was twelve, 5'9 when I was thirteen and now I am 6'2 at seventeen so it is hard to say how tall this twelve year old will grow.

∙ 14y agohonestly i would think that was tall because most boys that are 12 are below 5ft i am a 11 year old girl and i am 5'9' so i think you would be tall for your age considering how boys grow
