Bob Dylan has helped to raise money for several liberal causes including his world hunger concerts for Bangladesh and Ethiopia and his many Farm Aid appearances. Then there are his amazing protest song contributions like "The Times They Are a-Changin" and "Blowin' in the Wind." Yet, I don't think that Dylan should be labeled as a liberal. He's always defied and denounced classifications, especially those about himself. In regards to the hypocrisy and absurdity of our political system, Dylan himself has said, "Politics is bullshiit." To paraphrase him, there is no left and right, but just up and down, and down is very near to the ground...politics is triviality. Tom Puszewski
