well it does share the British national anthem but is not part of Britain itself x Britain is the island made up of Wales, Ireland and England... The Falkland Islands are however British owned!

The Falklands are a British Overseas Territory and rely on the UK for Defence and diplomacy. They will have a referendum in March 2013 to decide their future, do they wish to become independent, remain a BOT or allign with Argentina ( No likely)

The Falkland islanders are full British Citizens, with many powers of self-governance.

The islanders are full British citizens, and are just as British as those living in England. However the islanders have also been granted strong powers of self-governance.
