The apostle Paul promised the Thessalonians (1 Thessalonians ) that Jesus would return within the within his own lifetime. Paul said that the Thessalonians could be ready for the return of Jesus by being vigilant (1 Thess 5:6): "Therefore let us not sleep, as do others; but let us watch and be sober."
We switch to Mark, the first of the New Testament gospels to be written, around 70 CE and so still within the lifetimes of many alive when Paul wrote his epistles. The author of Mark held the same belief as Paul had, believing there would be signs - earthquakes, civil war, destruction and many calamities, after which the stars would fall from heaven and they would see the Son of man descend on clouds of glory. He warned them to flee into the hills, not stopping to collect anything.
Mark's expectation of the imminent return of Jesus, within the lifetime of his generation, did not come about and so the authors of Matthew and Luke began to realise that the return of Jesus Christ was not imminent after all, and so began to tone down the prophecies, placing it in the indefinite future. Their readers did not really need to be ready for Jesus' return.
Since the apostolic times, there have been hundreds of documented prophecies of Jesus' imminent return, and with each one there is less and less chance that the next prophecy will be any more true than the one before. There is no reason to believe that Jesus is ever coming back.

Maybe he is, maybe he isn't. It all depends on what you believe. Perhaps he will come back after you are gone, perhaps he will never come back, perhaps he is back already.

First, when Jesus told Caiaphas and the court that condemned him to death that he was the Son of Man who would come "on the clouds of heaven" he was not speaking of his se…cond coming but of the judgment of Jerusalem (Matthew 26:63-64). As Caiaphas and the court well knew, clouds were a common Old Testament symbol pointing to God as the sovereign judge of the nations. In the words of Isaiah, "See, the Lord rides on a swift cloud and his coming to Egypt. The idols of Egypt tremble before him, and the hearts of the Egyptians melt within them" (Isaiah 19:1). Jesus employs the symbolism of clouds to warn his hearers that as judgment fell on Egypt, so would it soon befall Jerusalem. The "coming on clouds" judgment metaphor was clearly intended for Caiaphas and the first century crowd who condemned Christ to death. The generation that crucified Christ would see the day that he was exalted and enthroned at "the right hand of the Mighty One." Jesus' coming on the clouds to judge Jerusalem in the first century points forward to the end time when he will appear again "to judge the living and the dead" (2 Timothy 4:1). A day is coming when "all who are in their graves will hear his voice and come out-those who have done good will rise to live, and those who have done evil will rise to be condemned" (John 5:28-29). Answer: at the end of days (revelations), there will be signs like earthquakes, famine (starvation), wars and rumors of wars, any of these sound familiar, personally i think the signs have started but the bible says not the angles in heaven OR THE SON (Jesus) but only the father knows when, so its unknown to anyone when it will happen all we have are the signs, now I'm not saying o its coming soon NO it may be another 100 years or more all I'm saying is i think the signs have started Answer: In short, when we least expect it. Answer: The Bible is very clear in Matthew 24:36 that no one knows the day or hour of the second coming of Jesus Christ. So whenever someone sets a date for the end of the world or the second coming, then you can know they are not speaking the truth. Now in saying that, the Bible also teaches that we CAN know when the second coming is near from the signs of the end times (Mark 13:29). And the signs that are in the world today show that we are living in the end times and the second coming is not too far away. You are told specifically when Christ will return "at the last or 7th Trumpet" Its difficult to believe that even though it's written very plainly, many here tell you it can not be known. Did Christ tell you that you can not know when he returns? Kind of, but his comment was very focused concerning the exact moment (year, month, day, hour). However, he did give you signs to watch for; which would define the end times, the establishment of the kingdom of Satan playing fake Jesus (Antichrist) and the length of Satan's reign (5 mo - Rev 9), and an entire set of Seals Trumpets and Vials to observe in order to keep on track concerning those events and his return. A Watchman watches for events... signs. So what is the answer to the question when is Jesus coming back? The summed up answer is simple. Christ will return at the 7th trumpet which occurs on the first day of the 7th month. which occurs at the end of the 5 month reign of Satan playing the fake Jesus (Antichrist) (Rev 13). The more difficult task is getting your ducks in a row concerning the chronological order of events which occur prior to, and during the 5 mo reign of Satan as Antichrist. This would require a knowledge of scriptures, specifically the prophecies of Daniel 8, 11, and 7 (in that order) and the book of Revelation (Daniel 7 dovetails into Revelation), and all the words of the prophets which support the prophecies of Daniel and the warning signs of Christ and the detailed support provided by the Prophets about key and specific events which will occur. It takes quite a while to search these things out in scripture and understand their progression in time. For this reason, many simply cop out , by saying "you can't know when that time is", however what is written the word contradicts that claim. Where to Start: 2nd Peter chapter 3 (the key of David) Acts 17 and Colossians 2 (understanding who the philosophia are and what their doctrine is) Then Matthew 24, Mark 13, and Luke 21 Then Daniel 8, 11, and 7 Then the Book of Revelation Then the major and minor prophets, Specifically Jeremiah 24 which set the timing for the beginning of the end times (1948). This sequence will get you in alignment with the majority of events.
Who sings The gospel song that has the lyrics the question is when is jesus coming back the answer is soon soon soon?

regaurdless what people may say jesus said it will come as a thief in the night he also said no man knows the hour not even him only the father in heaven knows
He 'came back' (was resurrected) to fulfill prophecy and continue to do God's will. History: Mankind was created to live forever on earth.(Genesis 2:15-17). Adam lost life fo…r us. God sent a redeemer...a savior...to rescue us from sin and death. (Genesis 3:15), (1 Timothy 2:5&6) *Adam was a perfect man(Genesis 1:31), son of God (Luke 3:38), who turned away from God, thus becoming sinful(Genesis 3:3&6). He was also the 'father' of everyone on earth, so his sin brought sickness and death to ALL his descendants (us).(Romans 5:12) *Jesus was a perfect man(Hebrews 4:14&15), son of God (Matthew 16:16),who remained FAITHFUL to God, remaining perfect. He REPLACED Adam as 'father' of humanity, (1 Corinthians 15:45&47)and by exercising faith in HIM as God's son and our savior,(John 6:29) we can gain back everlasting life. (John 17:3), (John 3:16) Jesus died as a 'corresponding ransom' for Adam. After he'd offered his perfect life to God, as a sacrifice for us, his resurrection showed that God can overcome even death(Acts 13:32&33), and that there will be a resurrection of MANY MANY people after his judgment period. (Acts 17:31NAS) " . .because He has fixed a day in which He will judge the world in righteousness through a Man whom He has appointed, having furnished proof to all men by raising Him from the dead.." (Acts 24:15)(John 5:28+29) Because of his faithfulness to God his father(John 20:17), Jesus is now King in God's Kingdom.(Luke 1:32&33)(John 18:36)
only god the father
In fact the signs are all around us. Jesus said to be alert, heed the signs because He would return as a thief in the night. What Jesus said was this generation of man. No…t 1 man's lifetime, the people that now walk the earth. Jesus says there will be wars and rumors of wars. There will be many that say they are Christ. Nation will rise against nation. Famines, pestilences, earthquakes in various places. These are the begining of the end. Lawlessness, false prophets, Christianity will spread all over the globe. world-wide economy and monitary system. This is already in the works. OBama and higher ups are pushing for this, as is the Pope. These are just a few. But nobody knows, not even Jesus himself, "Only the Father knows, not the Son nor the Angels." That's the whole idea. The people that are watching, and are ready, will not be caught off guard. If everyone knew the exact time they would be wicked until 2 hours before the return and then repent. I expect God knows us well, the faithful will not be taken by surprise.
Jesus arose from the dead, to give us victory over death and Satan , and we can have salvation.
You should read Matthew 24:36, "But of that day and hour knoweth no man, no, not the angels of heaven but my father only" This passage informs us that Jesus doesn't know, the …Angels in heaven surely don't know, only God knows. Jesus doesn't give us a date. Instead, he gives us signs to look for, many which have already appeared. When we see the abomination of desolation standing in the holy place, that's when we can be certain the tribulation time is upon us. The abomination of desolation is already in the holy place. 2Thess2:3-3 The holy place was the local churches and congregations of course. God ordained the church to declare the Word of God for 1,955 years. The church age has come to an end as of 1988, and Satan is ruling there, employed by God. Now, as God promised in Daniel 12, He is revealing to us information about the time of the end. Which includes the Biblical calendar of history coming right out of the pages of Genesis 5, 7, and 11. The whole Bible talks about the end, and every verse is taken into account when we preach that we know when the end is near. Please take your time to read Acts 1:7-8 Acts 1:7 And he said unto them, It is not for you to know the times or the seasons, which the Father hath put in his own power. Acts 1:8 But ye shall receive power, after that the Holy Ghost is come upon you: and ye shall be witnesses unto me both in Jerusalem, and in all Judæa, and in Samaria, and unto the uttermost part of the earth. When the church age started, God told them, it is NOT for YOU to know the times of the seasons which the Father has put in his own power but ye SHALL receive power to know the times and the seasons. this harmonizes perfectly with Eccl 8:5 Whoso keepeth the commandment shall feel no evil thing: and a wise man's heart discerneth(KNOWS) both time and judgment. Eccl 8:6 Because to every purpose there is time and judgment, therefore the misery of man [is] great upon him. Eccl 8:7 For he knoweth not that which shall be: for who can tell him when it shall be? Amos 3:7 Surely the Lord God will do nothing, but he revealeth his secret unto his servants the prophets. Rev 3:3 Remember therefore how thou hast received and heard, and hold fast, and repent. IFFFF therefore thou shalt not watch, I will come on thee as a thief, and thou shalt not know what hour I will come upon thee. Isa 42:9 Behold, the former things are come to pass, and new things do I declare: before they spring forth I tell you of them. There is just so much information Also, "no man" is speaking about natural man in himself. The verse in Matthew and mark does NOT say that no one will know. Simply says no one knows. Which is true. 1Cor 2:10 But God hath revealed [them] unto us by his Spirit: for the Spirit searcheth all things, yea, the deep things of God. 1Cor 2:11 For what man knoweth the things of a man, save the spirit of man which is in him? even so the things of God knoweth NO MAN, BUT the Spirit of God. 1Cor 2:12 Now we have received, not the spirit of the world, but the spirit which is of God; that we might know the things that are freely given to us of God. 1Cor 2:13 Which things also we speak, not in the words which man's wisdom teacheth, but which the Holy Ghost teacheth; comparing spiritual things with spiritual. 1Cor 2:14 But the natural man receiveth not the things of the Spirit of God: for they are foolishness unto him: neither can he know [them], because they are spiritually discerned.
Yes, it is a promise. Soon, Jesus will return to Rapture (take to heaven) his church. Be ready. The Bible says Jesus' return will surprise eveyone. It will be like a thief in …the night.
Anywhere. Driving. At church. Sleeping. You could be anywhere.
In the Bible Jesus will come back again (at the end of time). He only returns once according to his record.
No. Easter was when he came back from Good Friday - the day he was crucified, died and was buried.
No one really knows when he is coming he can come today, in three seconds,or even in 3,000 years nobody knows prophets can decern when he will arrive but not exactly when he w…ill come that's my opinion.

Jesus himself made it quite clear that NO ONE can know when he will return to Earth. see Matthew 24:36. NOBODY can or knows when Jesus will return. Even Jesus himself doesn't… know. ONLY God Himself knows when. See Matthew 24:36
Here is a definition of Christian: IN BRIEF: One who believes, professes to believe, or who is assumed to believe, in the religion of Christ and whose behavior exemplifies… Christ's teachings. Jesus is coming back again as King of kings and Lord of lords. He is the Almighty Son of God, the Annointed One of God.. In the early Church of God (called so 12 times in the NT), disciples or followers of Jesus were called 'The Way.' In Acts 11:26, the term Christian is 1st used to describe those who follow Jesus' example and His leader's role in the Church of God. .

A:In 1872, Charles Taze Russell founded what was later to become known as the Watch Tower Bible and Tract Society, the official name for the organisation of Jehovah's Witnesse…s. Russell related social, political and economic issues to biblical prophecies and created an elaborate biblical chronology that applied to his own time, including one prophecy that Jesus would return in invisible form in 1874. This was later revised to 1914 as the date for Argameddon, with the destruction of Christendom predicted for 1918. Like many others of his prophecies, this never seemed to happen, but Witnesses are convinced that he did indeed correctly predict the heavenly establishment of the Kingdom of God in 1914.
