Not really, they have rich people and poor. But, most of them are middle class citizens.(I went there for summer vacation, it's a beautiful place, and great shopping) My favorite place was Oujda they have an awesome beach, but you'll get very tan. I always travel around the world every year, and Morocco is on my top list.

Morocco is typically considered a developing country (relatively poor).

Morocco is a relatively poor country. There are several reasons for this. Firstly, Morocco is resource-poor with its most common resource being phosphates, which are not terribly valuable. Secondly, Morocco is not yet industrialized and so over half of its population are unskilled farmers. Morocco's economy is slowly growing as tourism to Morocco rises and textile manufacturing in the larger cities take off.

The King does have a palace with accoutrements, but this is not an indicator of general wealth. The King of Morocco also has significantly less wealth than Middle Eastern Kings, Emirs, and Sultans who sit on oil riches.
