It depends on the school you are in or want to get into. 2.9 is a high "C" average. If you are applying to college, most have a base of at least a 2.0 for high school work, some want a 3.0. If you are in a college or university, most expect a Cumulative GPA of 2.0-2.5 to just stay in school. Each department or major has different requirements. To get into a graduate school, most want at least a 3.0-3.5 GPA for undergraduate work. So it is all relative, and depends on where you are at in your education.
It all Depends on previous grades. If a 2.2 is an improvement from previous grades than yes it is good, but if it's a drop then you know you can improve. There's always room for improvement it's just how much effort you want to put towards it. If I we're you I'd try for a 2.5 Avg which is a B, and isn't all that far off.
2.9 is a fairly decent, if slightly unimpressive grade point average. It would benefit you greatly to raise that up into the 3.25 range at least. (Maybe enroll in some "Honors" level classes next year.) Don't stress about it too much though. Just do your best and see where that takes you.
It all depends on what you where you want to go and what you want to do. If you want to get into MIT for Chemistry it should be higher. If you want to get into a state school, than yeah its pretty good.
not bad, not good.
try harder and make it above 3.0
Not in my household. You'd be grounded till it was broguht up. 2.089 is a C average
Not really; a 4.0=A, 3.0=B,2.0=C, so its a low B to high C
It's a mid-B grade, equivalent to 83 or 84 out of 100.
sorry no i am currently a junior in high school and i have a 3.2 and it is still not enough to recive college attention.
No. A 3.0 GPA is a B average. So it is a good GPA
It is not a bad idea to go to college with a 2.203 GPA. In fact, many colleges allow admission with a minimum 2.0 GPA and good SAT or ACT scores. Community college is another great option for two years, which will allow you to transfer to a top university with a good GPA and grades.
my worse GPA has been 4.1
Yes , is would be considered a good GPA. That being said, it also depends on how the specific institution weighs its grades, however, the GPA you indicated would be considered good.Yes , is would be considered a good GPA. No its bad.
Yes, a GPA of 3.0 = a B average which is considered good. Your GPA of 3.14 is slightly better. Great job!!
On a 4.0 scale with 4.0 being the highest, a 3.8 GPA is very good.
A good GPA will depend on the college that you are looking to get into. An average GPA is considered anywhere between 3.0-4.0.
It might.
Whether a GPA is good or bad often depends on how competitive your high school is and the GPAs held by other students in your class. Often a GPA of 2.7 is considered average, but you should check with your guidance counselor and ask how your grades compare to others. Often schools will calculate your class rank-- how your GPA compared to everyone else in your graduating class.
No.
the average GPA is around 4.15
