there are several sites where you can get detailed information about this digital camera. for example dpreview.com or cnet.com. just search some ofthem at google :)
I recommend you to see Youtube Video about Nikon D60 and you'll get know of all Nikon D60 Advantages.
Well the D60 is better because it is more advanced, it has better quality (6 megapixels vs. 10 megapixels). If you buy the kit, the 18-55mm lens will come with vibration reduction, creating better photos.
It's quite hard to Review Nikon D60 in a few words. It is recommended to read DPreview, NikonD60.com and listen to Youtube and Dailymotion (in French) Nikon D60 reviews.
i have nikon d60 and it is really wonderful camera :) I'm very glad with it

Nikon. Nikon. Nikon. ==. I personally have canon 50d and i can say that it is one of the most popular and greates digital cameras DSLR
Image sensor 23.6 x 15.8 mm CCD sensor. Total pixels 10.75 million. Image size (pixels) 3,872 x 2,592. Viewfinder;. Focusing screen;. Shutter speed 1/4,000 to 30 s in steps of 1/3 EV;. Self-timer; etc
The D60 is much lighter and smaller. It is better if you mostly shoot with Auto or Program Mode The D80 (and D90) is heavier and bigger but has better controls for manual adjustment and Autofocuses with older lenses
The d60 is better. Buy this one if you can afford it. If you don't, try the d40 then. It has less features but still has great quality.
Not much at all, ive checked before there is hardly a difference, i cant even rembmer whats different, not much tho.
Put it in a large bag of rice for four days and take the battery out of the camera (but the battery goes in the rice as well). DO NOT TURN IT ON or try to use a blow dryer. I know it seems a little weird, but it totally works. It worked for me. The rice soaks up the moisture.
It all depends what you are planning on shooting. Nikon is better in some areas and Sony is better in others. The lens that you use is also highly important. It does not do much to have an expensive camera with a cheap piece of glass. Great place to get unbiased opinions is: http://www.dpreview.c…om/ (MORE)
Really broad question... what kind of filter? What are you going to use it for? The most commonly used type of filter on a dslr is a polarizing filter. This is the equivalent of wearing sunglasses. Clouds are whiter, skies are bluer, and the whole image is darker. Many people recommend using a… clear filter to protect the lens. This isn't great advice and NO pros do this because it reduces sharpness and contrast, and also makes lens flares more common. (MORE)
Software is the limitation. You could try an 8 GB SD high speed card and see if it is recognized. Frankly, we would recommend two 4 GB cards instead of one 8 GB anyway. Memory cards do fail, and with up to 400 images at highest quality on a 4 GB card, it's nice to have a spare in case there's a prob…lem. That way you can keep shooting and worry about salvaging the images off the "bad" card later. (MORE)
Each manufacture has it's own unique lens mounts. Even inside of each manufacture they can have multiple lens mounts, example would be Canon has the EF and EF-S mounts which fit the majority of the EOS line of camera's however due to frame ratio's camera's like the 1d mk II can not use EF-S mount. C…heck your camera's mount type and use the lenses that are built for that mount only. You can purchase non manufacture lenses for typically less then the manufacture however I would suggest trying the lens on the body before buying to confirm the lens is sharp and able to work correctly work. Canon eos 5d mark II is good for great photos and decent Video. Especially with the full frame sensor depth of field. For the best quality Video you want the Panasonic GH2, especially with the hack which makes the detail very close to film. The canon gives subpar 720p resolution even in 1080p whi…le the GH2 resolves very fine detail and in 1080p cinema mode can look as detailed as a RED camera. Learn about the Hack and the video Quality Here : http://osgfilms.com/hack-the-panasonic-gh2/ The GH2 is often regarded as the perfect Hybrid. Nikon has some of the most user friendly dslr cameras to just pick up and shoot while Panasonic has the more advanced learning curves with too many features to count. Canon i would say is in the middle in terms of difficulty. (MORE)
It certainly is one of the all time classics. Forget the megapixel blarney! If you have not got one - get out there now whilst the price is at rock bottom - you will NOT be disappointed.
They are virtually the same same; they have the same dimensions, the d40 is slightly lighter.
Af-s and Af-I lenses are compatible. Listing them would be hard, considering tamron, sigma and nikkor lens can fit on a d60.
Yes, the sb600 works with all Nikon SLRs - although with some limitations on older ones.
I have a Canon Rebel series. This is really a matter of opinion, either one are great for first time DSLR owners. I personally chose at the time what camera to get based on additional lenses etc I planned to buy. It's also a good idea to test both. Hold them in your hands and see which one feels rig…ht for you. Yes. The results are better with a macro lens, of course, but it still is not that bad.
Which DSLR is better Nikon D40 or D60 Money nor lens being an issue because I own a Nikkor 28mm a Nikkor 52mm and a Telephoto 180-300mm lens occcasionaly I will make poster size prints?
You list the 28mm & 50mm prime lenses. If these are AF lenses, they will only autofocus on the midrange and up Nikon cameras. The Entry level D40, D60, and D5000 cameras do not have autofocus motors in body, they rely upon an AF-S lens for autofocus. To replace those lenses with AF-S versions would …cost more than a body with a motor. With that said, the very best non-pro Nikon camera that you can buy for less than $1000 is the Nikon D90. This camera will take advantage of the existing lenses that you have. If the D90 is out of price range, go for one of the older ones that have a motor used. These would be the D80, D70. I don't think you would be interested in the D200, D300, D700, D3, or D3x because you were initially looking at the D40 & D60. If you can spend a little more, the sweet spot right now is probably the D700 full frame camera recertified which would provide amazing image quality and could be obtained for about $2000 recertified. Depending on what type of lens they are. They probably are AF lenses, so it'll work, but without the autofocus function. That means you'll have to make the focus manually.
dont really know what you mean.... but one method is to take two exposures, one with the subject in sharp focus, another with out of focus image (same subject) and combine the two images with a mask in photoshop.. another effect is to use a double exposure, and throw one out of focus.. both techn…iques require still-life subjects and a tripod. otherwise, blur is generally to be avoided in photography, but can be caused by camera or subject movement, bad focus, zooming during exposure, or having dirty filters on lenses, shooting through screen doors... etc. (MORE)
Currently stocked is the Olympus E420. However, for a little more, you can get a much better DSLR
The Canon 5D is a professional grade DSLR. If your looking for recreational use, Canon T2i
Personally I would ask the teachers. Nikon makes many good product so I wouldn't be too worried about quality. I would be more concerned with getting a camera your teachers can understand and help you with. Something that has modes for ease of use as well as room to grow. Asking the teachers also al…lows you to ensure you get the right features for their curriculum. If you haven't started school yet call the school itself and they can set you up with the right person to talk to. (MORE)

Experimenting is the best way to get a perfect exposure, but for starters, get a tripod and try 10 sec. at F/8, ISO 100. Improvise from there, and you'll have great pictures.
Yes, it is labeled more as a entry level DSLR though. Keep that in mind.
Yes. Any lens that works with a D60 will work the same or better on a D7000.
As of lately, the common price range for a digital dslr camera is.between 400 and 500 dollars. Compared to the prices a year ago, this is actually a very fair price.
There are many ways to obtain this information. Wal-Mart and electronics stores such as Circut City will have sales-people that will be happy to assist you if you ask. Also, you could probably request information by contacting the company through mail or e-mail.
A dslr cost between 400$ to 4000$ !! Depends on your requirement and interest !!
A DSLR camera has different components in its lens. The official term for this is elements. The capabilities of the lens allows the photo to be sharp and high quality.
Both the Canon 60D and the Nikon D600 have great reviews. Take a look at the specs, think about what you want from a camera, and figure out which best fits your budget. Neither is a bad choice, it just varies from person to person!
The Canon D60 was announced on Feb. 22, 2002. That means the first cameras would now be over a decade old. This model has been discontinued, so you cannot buy them new from the manufacturer any longer.
The Nikon D60 body is very similar to the Nikon D40, with the placement of several key buttons being the most notable difference. Like the D40, the Nikon D60 has no secondary display on top of the body (common in higher-end DSLRs), but instead displays shutter speed, f-number, and other information …on the main LCD screen. There are a number of different Sony DSLR model cameras and the features will vary depending on the model of camera one is researching. Some of the features one might find on a Sony DSLR camera are professional class shooting speeds, advanced still shooting features, great HD video captures and ver…satile shooting options. (MORE)
The cost of a Nikon d60 depends on if you want to buy a used or new camera and what type of deals you can find. Generally you can find a used one in good condition for around 199 dollars and a new one for around 600 dollars.
One can buy an Olympus DSLR camera when one goes to stores like Henry's, Black's, Business Depot, Staples, Future Shop. One can also purchase the item online at the websites of these stores.
There is many different stores online in which you can purchase this type of camera. You can buy a Pentax DSLR camera in multiple online stores. One of which is Currys.
The Canon Rebel T3 is offered at a low price for those that are looking for a cheaper DSLR. Other options include the Nikon D3000 and the Canon Rebel XS.
The easiest way to determine whether a camera is DSLR (or SLR) ornot is by seeing if the lenses are detachable. If you can switchbetween different camera lenses, the camera is definitely either aDSLR or a SLR.
The answer to your question is.... NEITHER! They are both very much tied in quality of models they produce, and also indeed their service. Thus, it is not what brand you wish to bless with your custom that you need to focus on, but what model you wish to purchase, and what requirements you need. In …my opinion, Nikon has the upper hand in style, so I generally buy from them. However, as I said, look at individual models from both companies, and see which ones fit your needs. I recommend the 'which' website (if you don't already have a subscription I really do recommend it). I hope I helped! (MORE)
