Most Gas Airsoft models range between 280 and 400 fps. This is pretty safe to use in skirmishes where you will be shooting at someone. Depending on where you are playing most professional fields limit the use of guns with more than 360 or 400 fps.
You just want to make sure that all people playing are using proper safety equipment; face masks, etc.

Definitely a gas pistol, You don't have to cock it between each shot

Yes. Gas revolvers are semi automatic, there are some spring pistols that must be re-cocked after each shot.

A valve installed in the magazine of a gas powered airsoft pistol that allow for more gas flow. Although you get more FPS on each shot, you consume more gas and will most likely have cooldown (rapid release of gas causes the gas to get colder and less powerful) problems. You also have to get one for every mag.
Are blow back airsoft guns more efficent?
Yes, because you can get multiple shots off versus a spring-cocking action which you have to do everytime to get a shot off. Whatever you do, do buy a gas operated one. It's messy and you have to keep buying gas. If you want a repeating shot airsoft gun without the cost of gas, go with an electric gun. It save you money by not buying gas, and you still can fire multiple times without cocking every single time like a spring operated gun.
