A koala is a wild animal. It is not used for mankind. Nor is it a bear.
They are wild. However, they aren't usually aggressive and are quite docile.
Koalas are wild, but there are some exceptions. A koala which has been kept in a protected sanctuary may be tame enough to handle, but generally this is limited to just a few.

Definitely not.
It is rare, but not impossible, that one could touch a koala in the wild. Koalas spend most of their time in trees, but they will come down to move between trees even when there are people around. On a personal note, I have been within arm's reach of one while walking in the bush. On another occasion, a koala attempted to descend a tree while I was supervising a group of schoolchildren underneath the tree. As with all wild animals, it is best to avoid touching a wild koala, even when it is in close proximity.
Rumor has it that its going to be in a treat sale. Along with a bird.
