I believe they were intended to be father and son. oddly there is no Momma figure/. they could not be brothers, the age difference is too big. I used to think the echoing nature whispers call of Hey Boo Boo- was meant to be, or a take-off on April fool! it does sound like that Yellowstone Park ( called Jellystone in the cartoon) which was Yogi"s habitat- is known for bizarre natural sounds- some resembling a musical tone off the bodies of water in the park and sounding like, depending on one" musical tastes = a harp or a steel guitar. glissando twang l. It is not water life such as fish. Glad you asked that. another Hanna-Barbera comedy- Augie Doggy and Doggy Daddy- were a Father and Son team, and I believe Jimmy Durante voiced the parent doggy.(My Son, My Son)
