One of the major contributing factors to developing cervical cancer is Human Papillomavirus (HPV) which is a sexually transmitted disease. I have no other causes for it - I do not smoke, I am not overweight, I do not have a weakened immune system, etc. The only factor that I had was the NuvaRing. I am not sure how doctors go about linking a diagnosis with a cause but there is not a doubt in my mind that this was caused by the NuvaRing.
