Actually it isn't unless someone tries to tell you it has some kind of power. It is actually a useful tool for arranging things in a pleasing or functional way. It has other applications but it doesn't have any more power than choosing the right color to enhance your surroundings.

The effects of Feng Shui are psychological. If you believe in what you are doing, it has power, like the placebo effect. I have no idea if manipulating Chi has any real power, but it seems to work in accupunture and in Martial Arts like Kung Fu. The placebo effect is definitely real, and your mind really does have a lot of influence over your health.
