Yes, because herpes virus affect the nerves in the area where the outbreak occurred, women with herpes may find they have a mild neurogenic bladder -- that the nerves aren't working well to make the bladder contract and empty. If urination is simply slow, but you have no abdominal or pelvic discomfort, it's not a cause for concern, but if you start having pain in the bladder, contact your health care provider. This situation should resolve within a day or two, faster than the sores will disappear.
