Of course not. First, there is no such thing as a link between Christmas trees and luck. And second, it's your life and your home, so put up your tree whenever you decide it's the right time to do so.

it might be good just to get it out of the way, but it could also be bad because if you have Thanksgiving dinner at your house u don't want a big Christmas tree in the way.

No, but there is no point on putting your tree up THAT early. Maybe a couple days or weeks before Christmas will suffice.
