They have high standards but this should not deter you from applying. For undergraduate degrees, around 1/3 of the students who apply are offered places, but usually the students who apply are all predicted grades high enough to get in. Admissions tutors will also look for enthusiasm in their potential students.

∙ 10y agoIt is often viewed as a safety school, mainly due to the fact that it carries the burden of being within close regional proximity of the University of Toronto, a much more prestigious university with much higher expectations. Though York University is much easier to get into, it is not, by any means, a bad university.
