It's pretty individual depending on how many are removed, how impacted they might have been and what how much stess was put on the jaw when they were removed. I had all four taken out when I was 17 and I looked like a chipmunk for about three days. The pain was pretty minimal after a day or two and the swelling was completely down by the fourth day.
It depends on how deep the roots were on your wisdom teeth, your personal gum sensitivity, and a little on the skill of your surgeon. Some people's swelling goes down in about 2 days and others have swelling for up to a week. If it goes much longer than a week or doesn't lessen, I'd suggest scheduling a follow-up with your doctor, dentist, or surgeon.
Swelling could last up to a week. Depending on the swelling, if it's hot and uncomfortable you should go back to where you got you wisdom teeth out, could be that the socket has closed before it's time amd fluid could be trapped inside needing to come out. Or could be a dry socket.
There will be a lot of swelling up to deforming your face. Some people refer to it as hamster face.
The maximum swelling occurs at the 3rd to 4th day after the surgery and then reduces slowly whithin a week.
Yes, it is normal for your face to swell after having your wisdom teeth out. This is because of the nature of the procedure, as they take your teeth out the surrounding areas of the mouth are inflammed, causing irritation and swelling after the surgery.
yes, that is normal, if you have swelling after 24 hours, and no fever or a headache its ok,what you can do, you can put a warm compress on the cheek. you can heat a warm towel in the microwave.
It should take about a week or a little more. I had complications with mine so it took longer. Don't fret, it goes away faster than you know it!
Yes. It is normal.
Yes, dont worry.
No, having migraines for 5 days in a row is not normal at all after having your wisdom teeth pulled. You should contact the dentist right away.
Yes. Didn't you read any of the materials your dentist gave you???
Yes, bruising and swelling are very common complications of wisdom tooth extraction. The swelling will be at its worst 48-36 hours after the extraction before it begins to die off. Apply an ice pack to the swollen area. I hope I have been of some assistance. Dr Nicholas Manning BDS Glasg MFDS (RCSEng)
Due to local anesthetic, it can be difficult to smile, talk, or even open and close one's mouth following wisdom tooth extraction. This usually resolves itself as soon as the anesthetic wears off and the swelling goes down. This can take up to a week or more, depending on how difficult the extractions were.
The 2nd day after your wisdom tooth extraction, you are restricted to soft foods such as jello.
i have had my wisdom tooth pulled yesterday, it hasnt been 24hrs, and i believe that is normal. it hurts to smile or even swallow because i have a huge hole that has been sewn shut. so yes i think its totally normal.
that is not a normal reaction post wisdom teeth extraction you should notify your dentist an check with other doctors, x rays will be needed to further examine the problem.
Your sinuses will only be affected if something were to go wrong during the extraction. When top wisdom teeth are extracted, there is a very slim chance of a tool puncturing your sinuses. The swelling after the procedure does not (should not) affect breathing either.
It is sore from the trauma of removing the tooth and it is stiff probably from the swelling. Your doctor probably gave you a prescription for the pain. If not, ibuprofen should help.
