There are several instances where cancelled shows have been revived. Family Guy, Beavis & Butthead & Futurama to name three.
Arrested Development can be half counted, it is being revived for one season but it will be on Netflix.
Boondocks is another that returned for a final season, after years off the air, although that may not have been officially cancelled as the others were.
However if you're asking can the average person get a cancelled show back on the air... No.
