Yes, they are safe to take together. The only things that claritan or claritan d react with are some anti-biotics and some anti-anxieties. There really isn't much to Nyquil all it is tylenrol + sudafed and guafesson in a liquid.
Claritan is an anti-histamine, and really ahs no relation to the drugs in NyQuil at all
No. Nyquil has 500 mg of acetaminophen, and fioricet contains 325 mg acetaminophen. Taking these together would be an 825 mg dose. Common dosages are 325, 500 and 650 mg.
The oral dose for adults is 325 to 650 mg every 4 to 6 hours. The maximum daily dose is 4 grams. The oral dose for a child is based on the child's age, and the range is 40-650 mg every 4 hours.
So, the best bet is to chose the medication that best solves youre sickness, and suffer through the rest of it.
If you're suffering from a cold, take a couple days off just to allow yourself some downtime, the first couple of days with a cold are roughest anyway, so why not relax?
Take the phone off the hook, send the kids to grams, have a friend watch the dog, etc.
Eat your favorite soup,(make mine lentil!) buy a box of lotion infused kleenex (your going to need it!)and pamper yourself a little, you know? A warm blanket and jammies always make me feel comfy.
Listen to some soft music, or watch your favourite programs on the tele, and you'll be feeling better in no time!
No?
Well since no one answered my question I'll just try it myself! (I'll edit later)
EDIT: its okay, I took 30ml of Dayquil and 30ml of Niquil; together that makes 1full dose for an adult.
Do not take 60ml (1full dose) of each. You won't die or get high...u will get nausea, head ache and probably vomit.
The active ingredients in NyQuil are acetaminophen, dextromethorphan HBr and doxylamine succinate.
Robitussin DM contains two active ingredients: dextromethorphan HBr and guaifenesin.
Dextromethorphan is an antitussive drug used to help relieve constant coughing. It helps stop your cough by decreasing activity in your brain that triggers your impulse to cough. However, it doesn’t treat what triggers your coughing impulse in the first place, such as a cold or throat irritation. Guaifenesin belongs to a class of drugs called expectorants. These drugs help loosen up and thin phlegm (mucus) in your throat and lungs so that your coughs are more productive. A productive cough will help bring up mucus that is causing chest congestion. This clears your airways, making it easier for you to breathe. Guaifenesin helps relieve chest congestion, but it doesn’t treat the cause of your congestion. Robitussin DM contains two active ingredients: dextromethorphan and guaifenesin.
So now If you take a look at the Ingredients They Both for all intensive pourposes are the same but also both have the Ingredient dextromethorphan HBr ( when Taken In Large Doses It Can Cause Halutionations ) So With That Alone In Mind I Would Say Just Take One Or The Other and NOT BOTH... When I was an Army Medic Before I recomended one of these I would ask my self " Is the Patient Complaining of Alergey Symptoms (if Yes then use Nyquil) Coughing up Speutum (if Yes then Robotussin) Aches and Paines (if yes then Nyquil) OTHER WIZE ITHER ONE SHOULD DO JUST FINE BUT ONLY ONE NOT BOTH
Is it safe to take nyquill and robitussin DM
Yes you should be able to take Zicam with NyQuil. All it is is Zinc.
No, not really. The amount you would have to take to get high would make you very sick, and even if you did get high, you would be so sick, it wouldn't be worth it.
My doctor has prescribed just this combination for me in the last few days. The Claritan dries me up and the ZPak started clearing up the infection. Works great.
Yes it is quiet safe.
this is a good medication as long as it is not abused and follow the direction carefully
Yes if you wanna die
Depending on the person yes, my close friend has been sent to the hospitial regardig his blood pressure after taking an average dose of NyQuil. im not sure if it verys for each peraon or if it effects everyone though..
Well, I survived so it's ok!
Nyquil contains Tylenol plus a cough suppressant and doxylamine, an antihistamine. Since Allegra is also an antihistamine, these would overlap in indication. Pharmacists prefer taking individual products so as to avoid interactions and duplications of ingredients, so try taking plain Tylenol and Robitussin DM with the Allegra and skip the Nyquil.
Yes it is safe to take Zyrtec with Mucinex D. However you should only take both if they are to treat different symptoms. It is not recommended to take both to treat the same symptom which may lead to over medication.
ask your DR
You can take vitamins after the expiration date. They are normally safe to take. However, I wouldn't take them so long after they already expired.
