NO NO NO!! I learned from experience!! A BAD ONE!! my doc never told me the reaction! Taking Fioricet wipes ALL of the Methadone from your system! For two weeks I dealt with HORRIBLE detox symptoms and thought I was dying! Did some research, stopped the Fioricet and after about 3 days I was 100% better!

No, taking methadone and Nyquil is a bad combination and can lead to dangerous results. From personal experience, I ended up taking the two together and ended up going to bed. The next morning was my first day of school and my dad tried to wake me up. I was rushed to the hospital, I had vomited in my lungs, and was in a coma for three days with a very slim chance of living. Massive brain trauma and a disease in my lungs that almost killed me. The doctors call it a miracle that I'm still breathing today. Although I'm not sure if it will do any harm in different doses or taking at different parts of the day. Overall I think taking methadone with any kind of acoholic based liquid is dangerous.

Second Answer: I'm answering this question as well in my own experience and has nothing to do with the above. I take Methadone on a daily basis and I would suggest to not take the NyQuil close together with the Methadone. At least 4 or more hours apart. I took some last night after taking Methadone about a good 12 hours apart or longer and it did make me a bit nauseated, not enough to be worried though. Dayquil is the same answer although I didn't have any problems with taking 2 NyQuils. Although the user above may have taken more and may not be a regular methadone user. But it is safe to take NyQuil while on Methadone. I don't suggest you take the NyQuil THEN the Methadone because that could cause problems in my opinion. And also the answer above is a good one as well. It just really depends on your body. If you are taking the Methadone to get high then I suggest you DO NOT take ANYTHING else with it, even thought you should not be taking the Methadone at all.

I did today about the same time I had my dose (which I had missed the day before some I'm sure missing AND taking this caused a BAD reaction) and it made my lower back wig out and feel like it's crawling out of me for a good hour or so I would suggest taking them about 3-6 hours apart so you don't go through what I went through. I panicked to the point to where I was unable to drive. Just be careful with Methadone and it's effects, it seems to just be another opioid to people but it's not, it's a powerful drug and it can kill you if not used properly. Please use this medicine correctly to cope with either pain or to assist you in getting off of harder drugs as prescribed by a Dr. or health care pharmacist.

First off, I'm not a doctor. Just a regular girl. I've done it myself. But its real bad for your liver.

Once again I do not suggest such a thing. But it knocks yah out and gets rid of pain quite well.

Just don't do it or your livers going to be screwed up.

Yes, just be sure to take no more than directed, nor more often than directed.
