Currently it is not known. So far the only evidence we have is modelling that suggests the orbits of some objects beyond Pluto are consistent with them being influenced by the gravity of a massive planet. We have yet to spot that planet with our telescopes, and it may take as long as five years to find it. Until then Planet 9 will only be a hypothesis.
