Yes and no.

The porn industry has no overseeing or governing body to enforce a code of rules outside of the actual laws that the government enforces that dictate performers must be consenting adults over the age of 18.

That being said, there is a gentleman's agreement among studios that each performer must have a STD panel with negative results for specific diseases that is no older than 30 days. This means that performers could have been having sex with anyone within the last 29 days before you and you would in theory, have no way of knowing if they contracted anything that could be passed on to you.

Beyond that, there is little in the way of safe-sex practices in pornography. Condoms are only required by a few production companies and if they are not, almost to a one, men in porn prefer not to wear them simply for the fact that they retard sensation during sexual acts. (One of the larger benefits for male performers is the actual sex with as they traditionally are paid far less than their female counterparts.)

That being said, every performer must test negative to perform and performers rarely have sexual encounters with individuals outside of the adult industry meaning it is unlikely (and probably safer than having sex with a random individual) that you are at risk for an STD. As a female performer the obvious potential for becoming pregnant exists so contraceptives are strongly encouraged considering the frequent unprotected sex female performers have.
