Screamo is a genre of rock music. Usually in Screamo the lyrics are sometimes screamed but not always. Screamo is a version of the emocore, metal, ska, and others that resemble those. there are Screamo songs that are fully instrumental and have absolutely no lyrics.
When the lyrics are screamed its not like your 6-year-old screaming because her older brother put a rubber spider in her bed but a throaty scratchy kind of scream that most girls cant reach. That's why in most Screamo bands the lead singer is usually a male.
