ROTC is the Reserve Officer Training Corps. It is a program provided by military academies. Civil Air Patrol is the congressionally chartered, non-profit Auxiliary to the United States Air Force. They have 2 completely different purposes.
A civil air patrol name plate has the following setup: Civil Air Patrol United States Air Force Auxiliary NAME
Yes.
Not unless you're on the post/base entry authorization list beforehand for a designed Civil Air Patrol Activity. Civil Air Patrol ID's only signify your membership in CAP, nothing else.
encampment is for civil air patrol and its hard an fun and you only have to do pushups in the morning for pt...but its not like you have to be buff to the max.
Civil Air Patrol, Boy Scouts, and high honors should help. Black belts don't count for anything ever since chain places like Personal Best and Eclectic Karate opened up. They just give them away.
Yes, Civil Air Patrol will. Just like any other military sponsored program! It looks good on a college application and it is favored to see on applications to any of the US military academies or any school with Navy ROTC!!
they ate anything like bread things like that
Unless you enlist you will not go to AIT for ROTC. The enlisted side and officer sides of the military have different training schools. After ROTC you will go to BOLC (Basic Officer Leaders Course) A and B. A is like the officer Basic and B is like officer AIT.
Yes just like any military sponsored club. Civil Air Patrol is looked favorably upon by the Naval Academy and and college with Naval Reserve Officer Training Corps, it will probably help you get into Marine Corps Officer Candidate School and Platoon Leaders Class.
Troops don't usually have names in the Boy Scouts of America. Troops have numbers, but patrols have names. Maybe your troop only has one patrol, so it seems like the troop name. You can name your patrol anything, really, anything that your scout master will let you get away with.
There's nothing worse than a soldier with a severe ego problem. You just need to be the best you can be.
i would like to ask the same question...glad there's somebody else out there looking for one!
