Is there a Natural alternative to Febreeze?
http://www.muchmorethanamom.com/2006/09/22/alternative-to-febreze/ From the website: In our home we try to avoid the potentially carcinogenic chemicals in Febreeze and all sorts of commercial cleaning/household products. Our 'safe' version of Febreeze is as follows: Mix in a spray bottle (lavender vanilla scent): 1 Cup water
2 Tbsp. baking soda (natural odour remover)
2 Tbsp. vodka (for the quick drying properties)
5-10 drops tea tree oil (natural antibacterial) .
5-10 drops lavender essential oil (Use your favorite scent)
1 tsp. pure vanilla (Use your favorite scent) Adjust drops of oil for a stronger or weaker scent - I suggest reading safety guidelines for each oil on their bottles. Shake well each time prior to spraying to ensure ingredients are mixed. For use on most fabrics, I use 10-20 drops in 1 cup of water. For use as an air freshener, I use 20-40 drops in 1 cup of water. This one is, obviously, the lavender vanilla scent. There are many other options to suit your taste - sometimes we use mandarin essential oil, mandarin/vanilla, eucalyptus in cold season, lemon/lavender/clary sage, lemon/lime, mandarin/grapefruit, ylang ylang/rose/bergamot… the list goes on.
This one works great, I don't know if you can use regular rubbing alcohol or not. She has other cleaner's too, oven, drain and bug repellent. MORE: 1. I have also read somewhere that these are just watter, and fabric softener which has the same purpose; remove odder and soften the fabric! So if you mix some watter and a small amount of fabric softener you should get the same results. You need to try different amount to get the best result. You can also customize it; heavy or light! 2. They are basically sugars that have a hole in them, which drives out water molecules while holding 'guest' molecules in isolation. With a 'smelly' molecule encounters it, it stops interacting with the environment and *poof* no smell.
The neat thing is, when it gets surrounded by lots of water, it releases the guest molecule. This is just what you would want to happen when you wash it. Soheil E

There are several natural alternatives to medication. Vigorous exercise. Run or participate in a sport. This will naturally raise serotonin levels, which helps with bot…h anxiety and depression. Meditation. Take a few minutes everyday to relax alone. Listen to calming music (like ocean sounds or water) and breathe in and out deeply. This will help relive anxiety. Keep a journal or diary. Whenever you feel stressed, worried, depressed, or emotional write about how you feel. Getting the emotions out is necessary, so it doesn't internally collect. Diet. Skip the donuts or other fatty based foods. A diet rich in vegetables, proper whole wheat, fruits, (lean( protein, and dairy can help. Putting nutrient based foods into your body will help the body feel physically better, and thus help the mind feel better. Tea or meditation before bed can help you sleep better. If the problem is more cognitive, I would suggest talking with a close friend or relative. Remember: jumping to conclusions is often wrong, you are valuable to society and your friends/family, and focus on the root of your problem. Too many after school activities causing anxiety? Working in the same place as your ex?Then find ways to limit the stress or emotional distresses. Over come anxiety causing fears by facing them head on. Also, if your friend is acting anxious or depressed and is in denial, a group therapy session is another option. You can also met with a therapist (psychologist) and tell them you do not wish to use medication. Your therapist will go over similar methods. However, if the mood disorder is biological, medication is required. I would recommend seeing a certified psychologist for proper diagnosis, and trying natural methods, before jumping into medications, which can be somewhat dangerous. Answer2: The only way to know if you can get a proper diagnosis about anxiety and depression is to have a physical examination to check for underlying health issues and see a psychiatrist for a consultation and confirmation. Many times our bodies are run down and depleted which can cause physical and also mental issues. Until you can see a doctor there are things you can put into practice to help you destress. Some form of exercise like vigorous walking for at least 30 minutes and good nutrition are a MUST. Make fresh juices by investing in an inexpensive Magic Bullet or a knock off. Work hard to get the proper amount of sleep you need. Buy some calming herbal teas amd calming essential oils for the body and bath. Sit in a warm bath before bed with a few drops of lavender essential oil and spray a few drops on your pillow to help your relax and drift off to sleep. Do not watch tv, news and mentally stimulating programs at night. Try not to watch the news as much as possible. Practice biofeedback techniques when you go to bed by thinking and concentrating on your happiest moments in life. I went for biofeedback sessions and that works wonders. Real faith helps us to deal with anxiety. The Bible urges us to "be vigilant with a view to prayers." (1 Peter 4:7) We can ask God for his help and for the wisdom and courage to make the best of our situation, confident that "he hears us concerning whatever we are asking."-1 John 5:15. A program of medical therapy is more likely to succeed if there is good communication between doctor and patient. Frankly explain your concerns or describe your symptoms to your doctor, and ask whether you need to adjust the treatment or simply to persevere before you will begin to experience benefits.

Realistically, you shouldn't need to use febreeze on a tent. Simply put it out to air and the odour should disappear. If it still doesn't, febreeze could work, but ONLY on the… inside.
well, I'm no expert, but if you're referring to the febreeze commercial where the lady is spraying her living room after a football game party and the walls are light blue wit…h white trim, i'd say "definitely"! that sounds exactly like him to me, and I've watched him in 'coming to America' about a million times, so I've heard his voice plenty.

One of the ingredients [in K-Mart's knockoff Febreeze] is denatured ethyl alcohol. Denatured ethyl alcohol is EXTREMELY flammable, so PLEASE don't spray throw pillows, etc., a…nd then place them in the clothes dryer, as I was prepared to do this morning! I think this is a precaution that should be written right on the package. I called the 1-800 number on the bottle to ask this question, and the operator didn't know the answer, and even though she promised to call me with an answer, it's been 2 hours...I figured I'd better look up the possibly flammable nature of this chemical. Thank goodness I wasn't in a real hurry cleaning, or my clothes dryer might've looked like a lit Sterno.
The product was physically developed at Proctor & Gamble, but the idea was created & presented in a marketing class under new product development. Professor Comegys was a form…er P&G employee & had his students "create" new products. This happened at Merrimack College, around the years 1983 - 1985. Our group came up with the product idea to spray clothes to remove odors, such as for removing the smoke smell in our outfits that we wore briefly to the campus pub. We did a whole presentation, soup to nuts, with whole marketing plan. I believe the professor sold or shared our idea to P&G. Inventors beware!
There are many alternatives for termite control that don't involve the use of chemicals. You can try adding organic material to the soil since termites prefer to inhabit soils… that are low in organic matter. Encouraging the higher populations of natural termite predators such as spiders, bees, and ants is another approach.
