Garrick Mallery's comprehensive study "Picture Writing of the American Indians" includes no pictograph with the meaning "mother" and it is very unlikely that any such sign ever existed.

In Plains sign language the idea of "mother" is conveyed in this way:

"With partially curved compressed right hand give two or three gentle taps or plucks at the left side of the chest".
