Is there any way u can disable the alarm if the drivers side key is jammed and cant be turned?

try pressing the brake and pressing the switch on the shifter. we couldn't get ours started or the alarm to go off(disabled) until we had it all the way in park and that button had something to do with the ignition. we don't know why but it worked.
