It actually snowed on Christmas Day in 2010 here in england but it didn't settle well in London sadly. It probably settled in other parts of England. I even saw the snow myself! It was like fine flakes. Cold enough to settle but not enough flakes. Left a few patches yes. Atleast we got that HUGE snowfall later on.
Anyway i guess it settled in other parts of england so technically; White Christmas.
No official record has been kept.
However, White Christmases were frequent in the 18th and 19th centuries and even more so before the change of calendar in 1752 which effectively brought Christmas day back by 12 days.
The last official White Christmas was in 2009, (North West and North East)
The definition of an official white Christmas used most widely, notably by those placing and taking bets, is for a single snow flake (perhaps amongst a shower of rain and snow mixed) to be observed falling in the 24 hours of 25 December.
