Anthony Quinn won for Viva Zapata in 1952 and Lust For Life in 1956. (Quinn is often considered Hispanic but I base my contention on several remarks he made on The Actor's Studio. If you don't want to consider Quinn an American Indian then no Native American actor has ever won an Oscar). Nominated, but not winning, were Chief Dan George for "Lottle Big Man" in 1970 and Graham Greene for "Dances With Wolves" in 1991. Buffy Sainte-Marie won an Oscar for the song "Up Where We Belong" from "An Offices & A Gentleman" in 1982. It is possible that Native Americans may have won technical Oscars.
"Schindler's List" (1993) won seven Academy Awards, including Best Picture.
