A sushi chef is trained in preparing fish, slicing fish in certain ways, numerous rolling techniques etc. - it is quite an art.
Sushi originated in Japan. There is really no limit for what you put in sushi, except for one's imagination (unless you run out of food to use :L). These are p…opular fillings that sushi often contains (especially in sushi stores): - Crab meat - Sashimi (thinly sliced raw fish, eg. salmon) - Cucumber - Teriyaki Chicken (also Japanese) - Prawn - Tuna - Caviar - Beef (is more rare, but still used) - etc. Nowadays though, people of all cultures love to experiment with new ingredients to make their own signature sushi.
Sushi is cold cooked rice dressed with vinegar that is shaped into bite-sized pieces and topped with raw or cooked fish, or formed into a roll with fish, egg, or vegetable…s and wrapped in seaweed. If you want to make sushi, try using saltwater fish like yellowtail, salmon or tuna See also the related question below: What is sashimi?= poop Sushi may refer to a cuisine or a type of rice. As rice, sushi is a white rice made sticky with rice vinegar. As cuisine, sushi is any food made by combining sushi rice and another ingredient.
Just ask them for a speceial roll or chef signature roll.
