I believe that competitive exams should be held as the child can prove himself if he is unable to do so as there are many subjects in school. And it should be optional. Children should decide whether they want to take part in some competitive exams or not.
Parents should also keep in mind that thy should not force their children to take part.
Thus competitive exams should be held and the child should decide if he wants to take part
