Provided the grade and SAE of oil is that recommended by the car manufacturer and a filter change is done too, it should be OK.
I don't recommend it personally. Many have had leaks after changing over. Also, it should never be used during break in period.
Synthetic Oil
i use 10w30 synthetic oil in mine, or u can just use 10w30 regular oil but the synthetic lubricates better and i notice that the engine makes less noise when i use synthetic
Use the manufacturer's suggested oil. If you have a turbo charged vehicle, synthetic oil will make it run cooler.
No, I would not recommend using synthetic in an engine this old. Use a good 10w40 conventional oil.
if it's a turbo engine you should only use synthetic oil only!! if it's a non-turbo engine a conven. oil will do.
If it is air cooled I highly recommend synthetic. If it is water cooled then it is not as important but I would still use synthetic.
look in your owners manual and see what weight oil they recommend and then get that weight oil in the synthetic oil that you like.
Engine oil?? 5W30 synthetic is best.
Gas: 5W30 synthetic, gasoline-rated oil. Diesel: 5W40 synthetic, diesel-rated oil.
No, old oil can use synthetic engines
yes you can use synthetic oil if you want to
I would use 10/40 synthetic in winter and 20/50 synthetic in summer .You should get 7000 to 10000 miles before your next oil change.
