Hobbits are short, usually plump, with curly hair on their feet and tough soles that do not require shoes. They are a simple people, and enjoy eating (preferably six meals a day), laughing, and farming. They do not like "machinery" and are not exactly what you would call bookworms. They are passionate about mushrooms.
