It seems that more mainstream Hollywood films are either reboots of previous films or sequels to previous films. In a comparison between 1981 and 2011, there are no original screenplays in 2011. However, only three of the top ten in 1981 were not original.
Everyone will have different opinions. I'm sure some would put all of the Harry Potter films on the list. Surely the following live action films should be considered: "Willy Wonka & the Chocolate Factory" (1971) "The Wizard of Oz" (1939) "The Princess Bride" (1987) "A Christmas Story" (1983)

It depends who you ask. Also they don't class all films together. They do top 10's of sci-fi's, action, adventure all seperatey so you wouldn't get them all together, but if you search IMDB (A movie website), and click on the top 250, then you can look on there.

In accordance with CNN the top ten films are from 10 to 1: 'Frankenweenie' and 'The cabin in the woods', 'Skyfall', 'Bernie', 'Killing them sofly','Life of Pi','Beasts of the southern wild', 'Silver linings playbook', 'Zero dark thirty', 'The master' and 'Django unchainded'.

You need to be a little more specific and say what you mean by "top ten." Top ten largest? Top ten most powerful? Top ten best sellers? Top ten most common?
