The plumb bob's inventor is lost to history...the name comes from the corruption of the Latin word for lead: Plumbum. Bob has nothing to do with it.
A plumb bob is a weight on the end of a string. It usually has a pointed lower end. It is hung adjacent to or in line with building elements to check whether they are …"plumb" or "true to the vertical". A weight on a string holds the string under tension in a straight line down to the ground because of gravity. A person can move so they can see whether the straight line of the string lines up against the built element, to tell whether it is vertical.
plumbing is most useful for our home, because we need to make water supply in different part of a home like kitchen, toilet, bathroom etc. To supply the water at required plac…es of a home, we have to install and connect pipeline system that whole process is called plumbing and this overall functionality is done by plumbing professional.

The plumb bob is useful in establishing vertical for a wall in construction or a doorjamb when hanging a door. It can indicate whether a flue is running true vertical or v…eering off plumb. A plumb-bob or a plummet is a weight, usually with a pointed tip on the bottom, that is suspended from a string and used as a vertical reference line, or plumb-line. It is essentially the vertical equivalent of a water level.
To establish a plumb line. Vertical line. Basic tool that lets you do everything else. With a plumb bob and something to measure with you can build anything.

In plumbing, a trap is a U-, S-, or J-shaped pipe located below or within a plumbing fixture. An S-shaped trap is also known as the S-bend invented by Alexander Cummings in 17…75 but became known as the U-bend following the introduction of the U-shaped trap by Thomas Crapper in 1880. The new U-bend could not jam, so, unlike the S-bend, it did not need an overflow. The bend is used to prevent sewer gases from entering buildings. In refineryapplications, it also prevents hydrocarbons and other dangerous gases from escaping outside through drains. The most common of these traps in houses is referred to as a P-trap. It is the addition of a 90 degree fitting on the outlet side of a U-bend, thereby creating a P-like shape. It can also be referred to as a sink trap due to the fact it is installed under most house sinks. Because of its shape, the trap retains a small amount of water after the fixture's use. This water in the trap creates a seal that prevents sewer gas from passing from the drain pipes back into the occupied space of the building. Essentially all plumbing fixtures includingsinks, bathtubs, and toilets must be equipped with either an internal or external trap. Because it is a localized low-point in the plumbing, sink traps also tend to capture heavy objects (such as jewelry) that are inadvertently dropped into the sink. Traps also tend to collect hair, sand, and other debris and limit the ultimate size of objects that will pass on into the rest of the plumbing, thereby catching over-sized objects. For all of these reasons, most traps can either be disassembled for cleaning or they provide some sort of cleanout feature.
Copper is the metal used for plumbing in houses, there are many reasons behind it 1. Copper is the main metal for electrical wiring compare with aluminium. 2. …Copper is an excellent conductor of electricity and heat. 3. Copper is resistant to corrosion and very unreactive. Copper is malleable which makes it an ideal material for gas pipes and water pipes. 4. Copper is below hydrogen in the reactivity series and therefore it does not react with water. 5. Copper lead compounds in water are toxic. It was used for plumbing in the past time. For more information visit at: alliedallcityinc.com

Yes. A big enough pendulum will maintain its orientation to the universe even as the Earth is spinning beneath it. A Foucault Pendulum was the original design of this concept,… and there are now several of these in museums around the world.
Yes it does! :)
The RV plumbing system depends on two external forces, one to bring water into the rig (fresh water) and one to remove the waste (sewer). It's this system that really makes RV…ing so luxurious. Imagine being able to travel with your very own bathroom. No more rest room toilets! There might be some unpleasant aspects to deal with water in an RV, but they are a small price to pay! This lens explores the RV plumbing, water, and sewer, offering a little explanation about them, some tips, and recommendations for products. It is also excerpts of two chapters of Full-Time RVing In Canada, which contains a complete guide for the novice RVer!

To use a plumb bob to find the correct fixing point, the bob must be suspended from an area above the desired point. Once it has stopped swinging, one can mark their preferred… point against the line. This will ensure a straight line.
