There used to be. WM took over the Wertkauf and interspar stores and remodeled them into what the US customer would recognize as Walmart's....and changed the names to WM as well. It never worked however. Germans are just not used to such stuff as 'smiles' and greetings and in 2006 WM gave up and sold out, a loss estimated at 1B dollars to the company.
