They were engaged to be married, when she first conceived, not officially married. After the angel told Joseph to marry the pregnant Mary, according to the scriptures, they did not have intimate relations until after the baby Jesus was born, from which Jesus' younger half-brothers and half-sisters were born.

The names of Jesus' half siblings are listed in Mark 6:3 - "James, and Joses, and of Juda, and Simon? and are not his sisters here with us?" Matthew 13:55 lists the same names of half-brothers.

ANSWER 2:

It is known from The Bible that Jesus had siblings; however, Mary became pregnant with Jesus first and then she and Joseph were married. Siblings would have been born after Jesus.

Was Jesus born before or after Joseph was king?

AnswerThere never was a King Joseph among the Jews. You may be thinking about the legendary patriarch, Joseph with the "coat of many colours" who, according to the Bible, was taken to Egypt and rose to high office. Although credited with high office, he was never said to be king (or pharaoh) of Egypt. The time attributed to this Joseph was around 1900 years before the time of Jesus.Another Joseph was the father of Jesus, but he was a village carpenter, not a king.
